D’Angelo: One Of The Most Anticipated Artist of 2012….

We have not heard any new official music from D’Angelo since 2000. He left us with a lot to imagine with the Untitled (How Does It Feel) video from his VooDoo CD. We knew he was not a one or two album artist, so when would he return? Fast forward to 2012 and we see D’Angelo is now on a European tour. Could it be he is preparing to tour in the United States soon?

His highly anticipated new CD, JAMES RIVER is expected to be released this year on RCA records. Check out D’Angelo performing “Chicken Grease” in Stockholm below. ***side note: Peep the background singer in the leather..get it girl!***

SNS Records DJ Skip debuts new video and single.

DJ Skip is a dance/house DJ from Chicago. He started out as a DJ making Juke music and progressed to creating electronic/house songs on the label Dance Mania and his label Push Pac Records. In 2007 DJ Skip partnered with Grammy nominee Steve Silk Hurley and form the label SNS Records. One of many releases on SNS was the Chicago LP and DVD (buy here). My favorite songs on the Chicago LP was by DJ Kelly G, “South Africa” and the Syleena Johnson remake of “Piece Pipe”.

DJ Skip would always let me hear music and I would often say, man when are you gonna put out a CD? He would let me listen to dance music but he had tracks for any R&B or Hip Hop artist. Show Me U Love Me is the first single from his debut CD. Check out the video below! CONGRATS! Get it DJ Skip!

TYRESE NEW CD “OPEN INVITATION”

Tyrese was in Chicago on Friday, he was the Grand Marshall for the Nascar Truck Series Race in Joliet. He also held a private listening session for his new CD “Open Invitation” due in stores and online 11-1-11.

The event was held at Angels and Kings bar inside the Hard Rock Hotel.
Tyrese arrived to a packed crowd waiting to hear his new anticipated CD. During the listening session Tyrese played the current singles already on radio “Too Easy” featuring Ludacris
and the ballad “STAY”.

He revealed the bonus track One Night produced by David Banner which will only be available on Itunes. He introduced another single saying this song is brought to you by Magnums and Baby oil O-O it’s called “Make Love”. Tyrese proceeded to elaborate on his new CD saying, he wanted to create the kind of music where you can listen in your car on a road-trip from top to bottom. He closed the night out with a duet featuring Brandy,The Rest of Our Lives or as Tyrese called it the 2011 wedding song. The lyrics were true to its title, very fitting for a wedding.

Tyrese return’s back to music through his new label “Voltron Records/RCA Music group”. Get ready for “Open Invitation” you will love his music and appreciate his growth as an artist.
